DIARY

Thursday 7th January- I started TASK 1.1 and I have completed it. I am thinking about creating a short horror film. Tomorrow I will begin and complete TASK 1.2

Friday 8th January- I will start and complete TASK 1.2, Next week I will aim to complete 3 tasks. I am very interested in working with china dolls, they are my worst nightmare so it will be easy for me to direct this as I will create scene that even I am scared of. I would also like to create this film in a rural area of Devon. -You only see the dolls when you hold your breath.








Tuesday 12th January- I am still adding to Task 1.2

Wednesday 13th January- I have done a mood board, and brain stormed all my ideas.
I have also come up with a storyboard and names for my characters. I have also confirmed the actors/ actresses who will act in my film. I have planned my props and sorted out the filming location

Thursday 14th January- I have started to email professionals for task 1.4, I had one response from a professional

Friday 15th January-  I responded to the email and asked 3 questions. "Hi Dan, Thanks for replying so quickly! That sounds great! I am basing my short film on a horror, I have a few ideas. What sort of running time should I aim for? What equipment do you use and what do you recommend that I use on a tight budget, I currently have a cannon 700d camera. Can you recommend any good, independent short, horror films? I really appreciate it and look forward to hearing from you."


Tuesday 19th January- I have emailed a few more professionals, for task 1.4, I will start on task 1.5 today.

Thursday 21st January- I have created a website for my project, where I have including photos of the actors and actresses.

Friday 22nd January- I am working on Task 1.6

Tuesday 26th January- I have emailed another professional, and had a response from him too.

Wednesday 27th January- I have written up my script

Thursday 28th January- I have completed my SWOT analysis

Friday 29th January- I am working on completing all of the tasks

Tuesday 2nd February- I have written out task 1.6 

Thursday 4th February- I have completed my focus group

Friday 12th February- I have bought the dolls

Thursday 18th February- I have had a team meeting over the phone with my actors to ensure they know what they are going to be doing on the day

Sunday 21st February- I met up with the actors and practiced the script, so they were familiar with what they had to say and also asked them if there was anything they wanted to change or felt didn't work well

Thursday 25th February- I have gathered all my props together, changeded my camera and packed everything ready for Saruday.

Saturday 27th February- FILM DAY, we arrived in Devon at about half 8pm, and stopped filming at 2am

Sunday 28th Feb- FILM DAY, we got up at 9am and continued filming, we stopped to have a lunch break and snacks were available throughout the day, we stopped filming at 3pm to go home. I have not filmed Louise yet as I wanted to focus on filming the other actors as they may not get the chance to take time off work again. Where as Louise is always in Devon.

Tuesday 1st March- editing

Friday 4th March- editing

Sunday 6th March- I watched a YouTube tutorial on how to make a day time scene appear like a night time scene, I then applied this technique to my footage on Adobe Premiere Pro.

Wednesday 9th March- editing

Wednesday 16th March- editing

Saturday 19th March- I have completed 1 scene, I still need to film a lot more. Due to the fact that I lost to main actors, my film may be shorter, realistically thinking, it is hard to get everyone together again in Devon, therefore, I may have to increase Louise's scene, and make it the main scene. I will also need to film a lot more filler shots, such as the area around my location/ establishing shots.

Friday 25th March- I will be going back to Devon, to film these shots.
